1. Hypogonadism: Testosterone is given for 2-3 years or until adequate sexual maturation takes place.

2. Cytorchidism : Human chorionic gonadotrophin treatment for 6 weeks of testosterone administration helps in testicular descent.

3. Androgens also enhance libido, sexual performance, and stimulate spermatogenesis. However, the use of androgens in inpotency has to be based on properassessment of endocrine deficicncy as a cause of impotency.

4. Androgens are used with verying success in premenopausal breast carcinoma in famales.

5. Androgens have also been used to treat refractory anaemias and in selected cases of osteoporosis along with oestrogens.
